Here we are already eight days later after posting my last update. My goodness how busy we can be in retirement......... lol
A busy week just learning learning learning about Network Marketing. Have been reading allot of good information from Ann Sieg and Kim Klaver who was recommended by Peter at PM Marketing. Hope to get more and more confident to present Enhancing Lives 4U the way it should be and not be a pest to prospects. I really want to help folks take charge of there health and financial abilities.
The guys were hunting again this weekend. Came home early Saturday afternoon. Pheasants and ducks and next weekend the season opener for deer in Minnesota. You know where the guys will be once again and a couple grandsons too. I spent a low key weekend just trying to take in lots of information from a very informative website.
Deanna got home from the hospital on Monday the 22nd. After 6 days in the hospital she came home feeling so much better. She is getting stronger everyday. Praise the Lord!
Today we have a confirmation for a great niece. Will be nice to see extended family. Kari and the girls will ride with us.
A busy week coming up.

Golly, it has been such a busy week I have neglected to update my blog site. Well let me start with our guests on Tuesday night. Rhonda, Sarah, Eric and Liam arrived for a late dinner. After dinner I took our guests to my Small Group meeting to have prayers said over little Liam. He has had kidney problems since birth. The appointment with Childrens Hospital went well on Wednesday morning. The ultrasound showed a 50% improvement from a month ago. This Doctor removed the antibiotics that Liam has been on since birth (4 months) and wants an ultrasound taken in three months and sent to him for evaluation. Such good news for a beautiful baby boy.
Tuesday I took friend Deanna to ER at Southdale Hospital as she was so weak and ill from her final chemo on the 8th. She is still in the hospital and improving slowly. White count is way low.
Del and Chad left for the slough yesterday morning and will be home in time for Gracies 6th birthday party tomorrow. I shopped for her yesterday at Southdale after visiting Deanna for a couple of hours. Charlie and Hailey had a sleepover on Wednesday night so Mom and Dad could have a date night. (LOL) Jo ended up taking Hailey in to clinic on thursday afternoon. She had double ear infection which was a shock. She was so good while here. Charlie helped PaPa with the yard work. He loves riding on the John Deere.
Got to see Jean at Pats on Friday. She came as I was leaving. She looks so good.
Heard Brandon may be going to Montana to work providing he gets the job he applied for with a Construction company in Big Sky. He will be fine. He is such a worker. My first reaction was "oh no!" but know that he needs to go where he can work. Suppose he will be snow boarding in the mountains so that will be a worry. Ufda!

This week is flying by fast. Weather turned cool and damp. My great nephew came to tear off the old roof on tuesday with two young men to help. Oh to be young again. My goodness they move fast. Today they are putting on the new shingles and they look so nice. I think they are called Timberlines. The house has a new look now with the siding having been redone and now new roof. Direct TV came this afternoon to replace the dish on the roof. Something happened to it during the tear off so needless to say we found out what it was like to be with out our special TV channels. It was to bed early lastnite. Also had a conference call lastnite for my Fast Track and it was one hour long and very informative. Made a crockpot full of wild rice soup for noon lunch today and all but about a cup went.

Friday already, can't believe it! Seems like Del just got home from hunting and he is back up at the slough. Today was Gracies program at school. Auntie Jen, Momma and Grama attended along with lots of parents and grandparents of the other children. Cute! Each class member recited a nursery rhyme. Gracies was Humpty Dumpty. This reminded me of attending Bobbys kindergartan class about 19 years ago. Time sure flys when one has little ones to watch grow.
Stopped by the Butlers for coffee and then to Jeffs. They were eating supper out on the deck. There won't be to many of those nice evenings left. Forecast is for a cool down for next week. It was 82 degrees today. Still feels warm.

Thursday October 4, 2007

A beautiful day in Minnesota. The colors are spectacular. Wow! Today is kind of quiet. Del is finishing up with repairs on the back deck. Talked with my California cousin today. She has met a nice gentleman from Whittier and I do pray that she will be happy.
Not much happening this day.

I am getting behind. Had Small Group here on tuesday night. A great session as always. Starting 40 Days of Community with Hosanna so had to put our Beth Moore study of the Patriarchs on hold. Will try to do both. Dee looked good tonight and seems to have more energy. Its been a tough row to hoe for her but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Her last chemo is on the 9th. Praise the Lord! Prayed for our friend Jean who has been diagnosed with cancer. An agressive sort but through Christ all things are possible. Healing and Miracles!!
Kate went home with PaPa around 5:30 tuesday before my guests arrived. Such a joy she is.
Today Del went golfing with Dale and then the four of us went to eat at Buffalo Tap. The air was clear!!! You know, there is so much to-do about the banning of smoking in public places but think the media sometimes needs to make things appear worse than they are. The eating establishment where we ate was busy as usual. A good sign. Having been a smoker up until 8 years ago I do understand a smokers defensiveness to a point. Now the proof of second-hand smoke causing cancer I am glad for the ban and for myself it makes it easier to breathe.
Amen about that subject.

Tuesday 10/2/2007

We had a little person sleepover lastnight. Her name is Kate and she is one of our younger grandchildren. We cherish these times as the children grow up so fast and soon they are to involved with friends, sports and school and staying with Grama and PaPa is not a priority for them anymore. Tonight is my Small Group meeting here and it is a time I look forward to weekly. We take turns having it and we have two couples and three gals attending. We have been studying the Patriarchs by Beth Moore. It has been a awesome study on Genisis.
Not to much going on today. The day is quite gloomy and overcast. Oh ya, some sprinkles now and then.........

October 1, 2007

Today is the 1st day of October and looking out the window I see Gods creation and it puts me in a great frame of mind. The fall colors are awesome. Del said alot of leaves had fallen this past weekend while he and the boys were up in Herman for opening of duck hunting. Friday night my friend Pat and I went to Fongs for dinner and had a great visit. Pat called me later that evening with word of our friend and neighbor, Jeans recent diagnose with cancer. What a shock but know that Jean has strong faith in our Heavenly Father and she will be shown much grace in the weeks and months ahead. We pray for her strength and courage. Her family included.
Another dear friend Deanna is undergoing chemo for breast cancer that she had removed back in July. She struggles with the "ick" feelings as she goes through the precautionary measure of chemo. She is truly an inspiration to all of us.
Lola stopped by on Saturday and we went to visit neighbors Dick and Gail. They are doing fine.
Dale went to an airshow by charter so was gone for the day.
I am looking forward to the daily blog. Its great for the mind and soul.........
