Hard to believe Thanksgiving has come and gone. What a day we had. Oh so much to be thankful for. God is good. We had our four children, there spouses, ten grandchildren including our grand-daughter-in-law, Krista. Dels sister and her husband came on Wedndesday evening. It was very gratifying to have our whole family together. We are so blessed and give God all the praise and glory. The menu consisted of the usual turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweetpotatoes, cranberries, and orange fluff furnished by us. Kari and Mike furnished the stuffing for the turkey. What a treat. They made two kinds. Also baked pumpkin pies and a apple carmel pie that I didn't even get to taste. Ho Hum!! Jo and Ty brought pumpkin dessert, Jeff and Lisa came with fresh pumpkin bread, fruit salad and sauted beans. Chad and Cindy furnished a broccoli rice casserole and Brandon brought buttered buns. Bobby and Krista furnished a huge tossed salad. Lynn and Rog brought a chocolate cake and cinnamon bread.
We had way to much food as always. Everyone went home with full stomach and spirits.
Charlie spent the night Thursday night and Jo and Hailey picked him up last evening.
Del, Mike and Chad went hunting in Hutchinson this morning but the sloughs were froze over. Drove to Bell Plaine and went down the river for about an hour. Mike will be putting his boat away for the winter. Its cold enough now that the lakes and sloughs will be iced over.
Have recieved word that MR has a very aggressive cancer that has showed up in different areas. The prognosis is not good but we continue to pray for Mandy and ask for total healing.
This is a busy time of the year so the postings are less and less but I will keep trying!!
